Post-it is the famous yellow sticky note brand that is part of the larger 3M corporation. In 1968, a chemist named Dr. Spencer Silver developed a low tack reusable pressure sensitive adhesive. In 1974, a colleague of his used the adhesive to anchor his bookmark in a book which then led to launching of Press N Peel. After much tweaking, a new version of this product was introduced to the public in 1978 - it's now known as a Post-it. Upon its debut, the Post-it Note product was a huge success. The Post-it brand has grown dramatically as this concept has been extended and helped find additional ways for customers to organize their lives.
