Fellowes was founded in 1917 by Harry Fellowes when he created the now famous Bankers Box records storage boxes. Over the years, the workspace evolved and so did Fellowes. With the introduction of new categories, such as office technology accessories, and the first personal shredder, Fellowes has expanded its office supplies footprint.

From the company's founding in Chicago, Illinois, Fellowes has expanded the operations over the years into the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Singapore, Japan, Korea and Russia.
